The Next Gen Spotovision of Rayat International School has been celebrated with great pomp and show on 28th Dec 12. The Hon’ble Health Minister Punjab Sh. Madan Mohan Mittal was invited as the Chief Guest who enriched this event with this presence. He enliven the occasion by setting free beautiful and coloured balloons. He was honoured by four houses prade along with the faculty march past followed by Oath taking where all the participants took the pledge to be fair in sports and enhance their spirits. Later, a Mashal was passed from one player to another, while taking a round of the ground to enhance the spirit of participants.

Next the cultural programme were visualized , where Pandit Ravi Shankar was given a heartily tribute, followed by aerobic, poem dance, PT Drill, where cute little kids won over hearts of all the audience. Meanwhile, an exhibition where different clubs exhibits their performances impressed the viewers. These clubs namely, Pen club, Reading Club, Garden Club, Maths Club, Scouts & Guide and so on depicted their skills. Different types of sports were played on the rhythm of music. This view was really mind blowing. Whole ground was filled with cheer up clapping. Everyone appreciated the lively performances and the attempt of the school where education has not been combined to four walls but students are taking active participation. Even, the Chief Guest encouraged these all round development of the students. S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman Rayat & Bahra Group than ked the Chief Guest. Skating was the major attraction of the event. Students were distributed prizes accordingly.


The Day-II of Nex Gen Spotovision 2012 was celebrated with much enthusiasm. Mrs. Dhanpreet Kaur, SSP SBS Nagar, the Chief Guest for the 2nd day graced the occasion along with other dignitaries. S. Gurvinder Sigh Bahra, Chairman Rayat-Bahra Group also made his presence to boost the confidence of the students. The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Bindu Sharma, Principal Rayat International School.
The students greeted and welcomed the guests through a classical dance. The major attraction of the day was ‘Swirls on Wheels’. The students performed well on skates bringing glorious moments for the school for being first to introduce Skates Club in the region. The students participated in all the events of track and field with great zest and zeal. On the occasion, just apprise the public in general, regarding the present scenario of degrading human values, a signing campaign was organized, where the invited guests , parents and the students put their signature.
The Chief Guest honoured the winners with medals and handed over the best athlete trophy. The school Principal, Mrs. Bindu Sharma announced the Best House of the year and motivated the students. The parents also enjoyed in participating various events. The day ended with marvelous beat of Bhangra performance.


On 19th Jan 2013, there was ROSA i.e. (Rayat Old Student Association) meet at Rayat international School Railmajra (SBS Nagar). A lot of ex- students participated and had interaction with the Chairman S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Prof. K.K Uppal, JMD Rayat-Bahra, Prof. S.C Bedi, Campus Director, Mrs. Bindu Sharma, Principal and Staff of the school along with students of IX and X class.

Great excitement was seen on the scene and the faces of the ex-students as they remembered their past days and shared a few exciting moments from their sweet memories. They also shared their life experiences and present status after leaving the school and declared to be proved to be an eternal part of Rayat family. The Chairman boosted them with his inspiring speech. He expressed and exclaimed that he yearned to have a lovely glimpse of the alumni who had covered a long way and gained a land lark in their respective field, sphere and society. He along with others recalled his own golden days at school/college which William Words worth has put forth as –
“Bliss it is to be alive in this dawn,
but to be young is the very heaven”
