On the second day of Teachers Training Workshop,various activities were performed by teachers of RIS in their respective groups .

QUEST TEACHERS TRAINING WORKSHOP

Lions Club Chandigarh Greater conducted a Workshop on “Enhancing Teaching and Learning Process” on Dec 23, 24& 25 2017 at RIS. Mrs. Priti Zaveri, an eminent educationist and trainer from Mumbai was the Resource Person. She made extensive discussion on the Skills for Adolescence.
Around 35 teachers participated. The seminar was organized to find possible steps to identify problems faced by adolescents to prevent mishaps and ensure safety for young learners and improve the perception of Schools as a safe place for knowledge. It also emphasized upon, reaching a child should be conducted in a loving , healthy and safe environment. This Workshop is going to bring a positive transformation in teachers and students which will ultimately bring a huge change in the teaching learning process at RIS.

PROUD MOMENT FOR RAYAT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

RIS has added another feather to its cap as we have been recognized globally by Microsoft for our innovative endeavor in the field of global education .This year we have collaborated with nearly 10-15 schools across the globe which includes schools from US, UK, Vietnam, UAE etc. We are right now working on five such projects. At RIS, it is our motto to develop our students as all-rounders with all the requisites of a good human being. Ms Taljit Kaur MIEE of our school will be attending the global education exchange programme at Singapore in March 2018.

DR.APJ ABDUL KALAM IGNITE COMPETITION 2017
Two students of RIS Brought Feather to the Cap.
National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF) organized DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM IGNITE-2017 COMPETITION in the loving memory of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former president Of India. NIF organizes IGNITE every year to promote creativity and originality among children.
Overall, 65,000 submissions of students from 576 districts of all the states and union territories of India were received during the competition .From RIS four students participated and the ideas of two students are nationally accepted. The two students are Chinmya Gupta of X Affection and Anubhav Sharma of IX enduring.
It is a moment of pride for the school. Congratulation to both of the students.

Christmas Celebration

Rayat International School, Railmajra celebrated Christmas with full fun and fervor on Dec 24, 2017 in its premises. The celebration started with a prayer and speech on the importance of the day. The students gave enthralling performances like dances, speeches, pray and songs which added color to the festive atmosphere. The students enthralled the audience by enacting the scene of ‘Nativity’. Depicting the true essence of love, joy and peace they emphasized the importance of spreading goodness all around. Tiny tots exhibited their talent through poems and songs. They spread cheer with their smiles and lovely attire. The entire school was festooned with colorful streamers and balloons and a brightly decorated Christmas tree, a wave of cheer enveloped the school on the eve. Mrs. Subha Rathore, Principal RIS. appreciated the wonderful performances put up by the students and advised them to follow the teachings of Christ. She also wished “Merry Christmas” and a “Happy New Year” to all.
The celebration ended with the carols “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”.

 

CULTURAL MOSAIC-TREASURE BOX

The cultural exchange programme enabled better understanding of other cultures, communities and languages. They focus on home stays, language skills, community service or cultural activities. The INDO-USA Alaska exchange continues to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two schools.
Under ISA project, one of the renowned school of Alaska sent a Treasure Box to the students of R.I.S which consisted of their national flag, many gifts like natural and pure honey, post cards and students had also sent some questions regarding Indian culture, currency etc. They also shared their views how we can attain Peace through such cultural Exchange.
In return Rayatians’ also sent worksheets meeting their queries and describing Indian rich culture. They also exchange with them posters of some rich Indian heritage, currency and Indian art.

UNDER ISA PROJECT “CAVEAT EMPTOR”.

MOOT COURT WAS SET UP BY

ON SHADE OF JUSTICE TO THE CONSUMER”
On Dec 15, 2017 students of Rayat International School enthusiastically took part in simulated appellate court proceeding of, “Commerce commission and District tribunal court of New Zealand”. It was a marvelous session where students were exposed to the judicial process and system of district tribunal court and commerce commission of New Zealand court that how they both work to protect the rights of consumers. Students got to know about the rules, system, techniques and mechanism of the respected courts. The main motive of the moot session was to create awareness among the students about Indian and New Zealand judicial system. It was interesting and fruitful for the students. Mr Subha Rathore, principal of RIS, appreciated the teachers and students for good job.
