PUNJABI WEEK CELEBRATIONS AT RIS

Punjabi language is a symbol of the identity and the pride of all Punjabi people and that makes it all the more necessary for pulling out all stops in restoring its lost glory and respect.
In order to promote mother tongue in the present Era of Global English language, RIS organized Punjabi Week from 22nd July to 28th July.Various activities like Just a Minute, Dictation, Creative Writing, Poster Making and Declamation. These activities enhanced their creative, speaking and listening skills. It provided students an opportunity to showcase their inherent talents.

SOF MEDAL DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

“A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievements.”
Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the high Olympiads achievers, RIS distributed, SOF medals and certificates to the winners on 26th July 2018. It was an Endeavour to acknowledge and award students for their continuing saga of glorious achievements in SOF.
Chinmaya Gupta of +1 bagged an International Rank 2nd and zonal rank 1.
Anubhav of X achieved 2nd impressed and motivated by their performance.
Prinicipal Mrs. Subha Rathore congratulated the winners and advised the students to remain firmly disciplined, obedient and studious for molding their life and character

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 Years ago.The second best time is NOW”.

The Tree Plantation Drive was held on 30th July 2018 at RIS. All ‘STUDENT OF MONTH’ were gifted with a sapling to plant it in the school campus.In the spirit of the day, they had planted the plants . All the students were very enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the plantation, even though they all got wet and muddy – they loved it. Tree planting event connected the students to the benefits of tress and fostered environmental sensitivity in them.It also brought them closer to the environment.Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore encouraged students to preserve tress which play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance. She added that it is the responsibility of one of us to not only grow trees but also to take care and protect them.

JUNIOR SPORTS

” Don’t limit your Challenges ,Challenge Your Limits”.
On 28th July 2018, many sports activities were held at RIS for Junior Section (I-V) .The day was filled with fervour and excitement was experienced amidst thrills,shrills and cheers.Every class was having a different activity like

Once the races began the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes.It was a day filled with sportsmanship and enthusiasm.The Principal of esteemed institution Ms.Subha Rathore congratulated the winners and advised children to keep their sportsman spirit.

RIS sets a benchmark in the region by participating in Geo Genius Olympiad. Many students appeared in 2017-2018 and bagged good ranks. On 19th July 2018, winners were awarded with medals and certificates by the Principal Ms.Subha Rathore .She congratulated them for these grand achievements. She motivated the students to more actively participate in Olympiads as these enables the students to learn topics beyond the CBSE syllabus which is the need of the hour.
