‘Celebration of Traditional Fervour’

” Admist the rich harvest across the greenery Baisakhi has arrived in all its majesty.”

RIS celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with traditional fervour and gaiety.A special morning assembly was conducted at RIS,Railmajra. The students were dressed up in Punjabi attire and presented cultural programme on the stage with zest and zeal.The school choir also presented a group song.Students of class -V recited a poem on cultural features.The students were told about the origin and importance of Baisakhi. Mr. Surinderpal Bahra emphasised the significance of the festival his speech and it was full of joyous learning for the children. Class-IX students presented Bhangra and were applauded by the audience.
While speaking on the occasion , Ms Subha Rathore , principal of the school, said that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh Ji had established the ‘KHALSA PANTH’ .
She motivated the students and asked them to celebrate all the festivals with great energy and do promote harmony and happiness throughout the world by spreading positive vibes.
