PANORAMA- A Programme under International School Award in Rayat International School

A cultural exchange programme named ‘PANORAMA’ was organized at RIS on 22nd November 2017.Under this programme, students exhibited the various rituals, customs, dances, dresses and festivals of Vietnam and India. The students of different houses depicted the importance of the four major festivals i.e. Diwali, Holi, Baisakhi and EID of India. The students also performed the Soul, Mid-Autumn, Perfume-Pagoda festival and Birthday of Mahatma Buddha of Vietnam.They were fabulously dressed up and filled with the essence of festivity. The’Soul festival’ is celebrated to pay a tribute to the departed souls which were beautifully shown by the students.’Mid-Autumn’ festival is related to pray ‘moon’ as God.The students presented an exotic ‘Lion Dance’ in which they acted as Lions.They also made delicious dishes like ‘Moon Cake’ and ‘Sticky Rice ‘ to explore the whole festival’s procedure. The festival ‘Perfume Pagoda’ was also exhibited in a marvelous way.



A Fancy Dress Competition for classes I to III was also organized under this project in which students were in Vietnamese and Indian attires. They also shared their customs, ethics, values and cuisines with each other. The students were acquainted with the Vietnam’s Culture. Through this unique effort of RIS the students got an opportunity to show their inherent talents. At the end, Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore appreciated the efforts of students and teachers . She also highlighted that collaboration and globalization is the need of the hour.

“Celebration of Song and Rhyme Day”

Rayat International School celebrated “Song and Rhyme Day” on November 18,2017, with great zest and zeal.The programme started with lightning of the ceremonial lamp by the principal Mrs.Subha Rathore. After that Mrs.Subha Rathore,principal of RIS, formally welcomed the parents.The function comprised of colorful performances by the budding talents of RIS and Innokids.RIS tiny tots and Innokids presented a play ” Cindrella and Twelve Dancing Princesses” beautifully. The dazzling display of both plays by children with perfect dialouges kept the audience glued to the stage.Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore appreciated the efforts of students and teachers .Mrs.Subha Rathore proposed the vote of thanks and thanked everyone for making this event a success.

Microsoft Tour

Collaboration and innovation are the demands of present scenario. So to acquaint the staff of Government College Nalagarh with latest features of Microsoft like Sway, OneNote, Office365, the teachers Ms. Taljeet Kaur and Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur of RIS conducted a seminar in Government College. They showed various PowerPoint presentations and explained the new features of Microsoft which could be a good resource in the field of education. They enrolled the staff on MEC. They handed Sway, OneNote and many other latest features. They also liked the Microsoft Skype as they saw various collaborative projects which were very useful. They assured to use these features in their day to day teaching learning process. Office-365 was very impressive feature of Microsoft. As it had so many tools for the education community. They were very impressed and happy with the latest technology and in educational field.



Childhood is the best phase of life which should be happy and healthy.Keeping this motto,Children’s day was celebrated with great pomp and show at Rayat International School Railmajra.On this auspicious occasion a special assembly was organised by the teachers of RIS to pay a tribute to their students. Along with motivational speeches,cultural activities including songs and dances were performed by the teachers to display their love ,affection and care for the students.
In the end the principal Mrs.Subha Rathore showered her blessings on the kids of the school with her compassionate words and gave the message that ”There are something that we can’t buy,one of such thing is our childhood”.
So Enjoy the spirit of Children Day.


Under ISA project “Cultural Mosaic” students of R.I.S had a Skype session with the students of Vietnam and Russia on 7th Nov 2017 for enriching teaching and learning in collaboration with partner schools across the globe. The ISA opened new vistas for our students to explore un-touched grounds and scale new highs.

The Skype session started with presentation and introduction of students. Vietnam people showed a well prepared and amazing presentation of their lantern festival followed by movie. It was showed how magnificently they celebrate this festival. It was a very nice presentation. Our students made beautiful lanterns greetings and wished Vietnamese. Students interacted about national sports, culture and famous celebrities. Russian also enjoyed the session and showed a presentation of their  own country about culture and many more things. It was a great learning experience as if students were really present in those countries.
