“JUST TO TRAVEL IS RATHER BORING BUT TO TRAVEL WITH A PURPOSE IS EDUCATIONAL AND EXCITING”

n 29th August 2018, the kids of Kindergarten were taken for an educational visit to a dental clinic. The children were educated about the oral hygiene and brushing technique. They were also taken to a mart, where the tiny tots thoroughly enjoyed themselves while learning about the various counter for buying and selling of items.

MIEE MEET FOR EDUCATORS-2018

The teachers of Rayat International School had attended the MIEE MEET -2018 at Ludhiana organised by DCMP school.It was the two days workshop i.e. 23-08-18 and 24-08-18.
The agenda of this meet was to empower K12 schools on experiences that bring learning life,in and out of the classroom and provide professional development opportunity to collaborate with MIE Experts.

Day1- They had diacussed the roles and responsibilities of MIEEs in India.They gave a basic introduction of Microsoft tools,Windows 10. They discussed the cyber security, creation of training tracker.At the end of day they discussed the Skype in Classroom methods.

Day2- They provided the educators with detailed information about Minecraft.

They concluded the meet by distributing certificates to MIEEs.

Our Principal Ms.Subha Rathore encouraged the educators.

In RIS the Interact club has been activated on 27th August 2018 by the ROTARY CLUB,RUPNAGAR.

Interact Club is a students body which works for the welfare of the society.The Rotary Club members:

Mr.Kulwant Singh visited the school.

Ms. Suman Tyagi addressed the students during the assembly. She told the students how this club was started and also about the objectives of the club.A five member student team for the session 2018-2019 has been constituted which includes:

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT RIS

“Let us come together to felicitate our glorious nation and feel proud to be Indians”
Rayat International School, celelebrated Independence day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. Everyone remembered the sacrifice of the freedom fighters.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp. The school choir set the pitch for the program with prayer song. Students of class I to III performed a mesmerizing action song and paid homage to the efforts of the numerous freedom fighters of India. The highlight of the programme was the inter-house group song competition to expose the students to the world of music, while also enhancing their confidence and presentation skill later, the program was followed with a wonderful display of fancy dress by the KG students. The programme conducted with the national song Vande Matram evoking the feeling of patriotism among all present.
The day came to the end with the wishes of Principal Mrs. Subha Rathore. She marked that it is a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

CCA ACTIVITY HELD

Inter House Debate for Junior and Senior held on 8th Aug, 2018 at RIS.

CCA Activities are scheduled in the curriculum to develop within the students determination and dedication. It provides opportunities to exemplify and observe good competition.
In Inter-House Debate (VI-VIII), forum was set up against and in favour of the topic “Parents and Teachers are responsible for the actions of their Minor Children”. All the participants were in their form and strongly presented their views. They used various skills like overstatement, definition, rhetoric, irony etc to convince the audience .All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore and the day concluded on a joyous note.

JUNK FOOD VERSUS HEALTHY FOOD

Activity on Junk food and healthy food was conducted on 28th July 2018 in RIS. Students of class I actively participated in this.Students brought both kind of food junk food as well as healthy food.After that they discussed about the benefits of healthy food and how junk food is harmful to our body.Through this activity students easily understood that we should always eat healthy and fresh food to lead a healthy life.
