JUNIOR SPORTS EVENTS

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet”.
The weekend’s Junior Sports for Classes II to V are held at RIS on 27th April 2019. The atmosphere of the Junior school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheers and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Following was the schedule of the day.

SEMINAR ON ADOLESCENCE FOR CLASSES VI TO VIII

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
RIS organised a seminar on the burning issues of Adolescence Period and personal hygiene for the girls of classes VI to VIII on 27 April 2019.The seminar was beneficial for the students.
Ms Seema Sharma NSS incharge conducted the seminar. She emphasised that this is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood .To add on to this Ms.Rose Saini middle school coordinator told the students that during these formative years many physiological and behavioural changes take place.So one should take them normally.

Etiquette Week Observed

“Good manners will open doors that the best education cannot. ”

Kindergarten wing of RIS observed and celebrated the

as “A Smart Me Week” from 22nd April to 26th April, where the young children were exposed to the importance of having good manners. Videos on golden words, good habits and etiquette were shown to the kids. Teacher’s through role play showed that good deeds, sharing, kindness, Table manners and use of words like “Please”, “Thank you” and “Sorry” help us to be good mannered and also make parents and teachers proud.

Selection of NCC Cadets

RIS conducted a selection session of NCC Cadets today on 26th April, 2019 for the students of class IX. Subedar BhoraRam and Nabib subedar Sunil Kumar from 23 Punjab NCC Ropar held the selections fairly. All the participants enthusiastically participated and they tried their best. On the whole more than 70 students gave trials and 18 girls and 32 boys’ cadets were selected as NC C Cadets. This will lead to a good direction for their future and careers.

CLASS I SMART CLASS ACTIVITY

To clear the concept of Sense Organs a movie had shown to the kids of class I in the smart class.

MATH’S ACTIVITY

An activity was conducted for class I students on 24th April,2019 , in which basic concepts of maths were explained. It was a simple activity. This activity was performed using Bowl, bag and buttons of different sizes.
It was all about observing the things, comparing the similarities and understanding the concept of size and position of objects.
Children were eager and curious to explore and learn about maths.

SKYPE SESSION

A SKYPE COLLABORATION SESSION was conducted on 26th April 2019 with Ataf Abd Elrehem Elbatal from “Egypt” and Students of RIS shared their thoughts on
“ How to Save Our Environment”.
It was really a wonderful interaction for the students where they were acquainted with the latest technological programs used all over the world.
Mr. Atef promised to see us again along with his students.

INTER HOUSE KHO KHO MATCHES FOR GIRLS AND BOYS

Inter-House Kho -Kho Championship was organised at RIS on 24th April 2019.
All four houses (Gaurav,Shaurya,Shakti Houses) had their teams ready for the event. Shaurya House and Yash House in girls and boys emerged as the winners and made entry for finals .
