WORLD TOURISM DAY

Every year, 27th September is celebrated as ‘World Tourism Day’ as declared by the UNO. This year, The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with other Central Ministers, State Government and stakeholders is organizing a “Paryatan Parv” across the country. So, the students presented a special assembly with the aim to the message of ’Dekho Apna Desh’. The students began the assembly by singing a prayer song. This was followed by the news, thought of the day and speech.
The thought for the day emphasized that learning different languages and knowing about different cultures is what being a traveller is all about ‘Speech’ focused upon how the merging of cultures is helping to remove barriers and make world a unified whole.

IT Workshop Organized

“Technology will not replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational”.

RIS believes that all teachers should be technology savvy in order to meet the future challenges in the field of education globally.As we are a microsoft showcase school we organised technology enhancement workshops for our teachers.In continuation to this a one day workshop was organised in the school on 21st September, 2018.
Ms.Pranjali Bramhe from Delhi and Mr.Kaushik Biswas from Kolkata from Juana Technologies, educational global partner of Microsoft talked about implementation of various tools of office 365 in education field.It was session for the teachers.It was an engaging and informative session wherein participating teachers improved upon their skills in technology.At the end, Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore thanked resource persons and motivated the teachers to implement the information gained in Teaching-Learning Process.

Teachers’ Day Celebration

“A good education can change anyone a good teacher can change everything.”
Rayat International School celebrated Teachers’ Day with great zeal and zest on 5th September 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the school atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of classes XI and XII took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A function was organised in which the students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. The Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore addressing the entire school, landed the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. There was a special celebration for teachers which included games with many prizes followed by a grand lunch. The principal appreciated the sincere efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. She also extolled the role of teachers in a students’s life.

SEMINAR ON WOMEN HEALTH AND HYGIENE…..

Rayat International school in its endeavour to educate our girl students on women Health and Hygiene organised a seminar on 29th August ,2018. As female health is a cause of concern in today’s scenario it becomes our responsibility to educate our girl students.Students felt enlightened after the seminar as they learnt many things which they were not aware of.

‘RIS marching ahead with new technology as a Microsoft Showcase School’

“The first step in teaching students to innovate is making sure that educators have opportunities to be innovators themselves”.
RIS believes innovation is doing new things, as per the fact our school educators have been selected as ‘Microsoft Innovative Educators Experts’ (MIEE) for the session 2018-2019.

JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATION

“The birth in which love, knowledge and mischief all come together is considered as the birth of Lord Krishna’.
The students of Rayat International School celebrated Janmashtmi on 31st August 2018.A special assembly was conducted where a melodious song was sung by school Choir based on diverse ’Leelas’ of Shri Krishna and his preachings. The function was brought to life by a sensational dance performance that represented the importance of the occasion.
A Fancy Dress was also held by the tiny-tots where the girls were decked up as Radha and the boys as Sri Krishna. With their landable performance , they lighted up the stage and mesmerized the audience .It conveyed the strong message “Victory of good over evil”.
The event concluded with the message of the Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore. She reminded the students about Lord Krishna’s devotion and obedience to his master.

Punjab State Council for Science and Technology Orientation Training workshop for Teachers

Children’s Science Congress-2018
An Orientation Training Workshop for science teachers was organised on 28th August 2018, at PSCST, Sector-26, Chandigarh. Dr. Kulbir Singh Bath (Principal Scientific Officer) gave introduction about National Children Science Congress and Dr.Balwinder Singh Sooch and Ms.Mandikini Thakur provide information on current year’s focal theme i.e Science Technology and Innovation for a clean, Green and Healthy Nation. Mrs.Meena Gupta from RIS ,attended this workshop which was highly motivational. Its aim was to provide the children of10 to 17 years from all over the country a unique opportunity to use their scientific temperament and knowledge to make their own dreams come true
